The MIRAGE 2000 is unique radio controlled model jet designed by Innovative Jet Designs (IJD) that is intended for the scale builder mind. Many modelers out there want to get involved in the jet scene but have found cost to be a limiting factor.
The design of the MIRAGE 2000 is based on simple but cost effective engineering principals where conventional construction methods are used to build this great model. The model is built up as a box construction using standard sized balsa stock. Curved items such as the intake and rear tail cone are fabricated from thin sheet ply or fiberglass. So no fancy materials are required and basic building skills will achieve a superb flying aircraft. The wing is a built up structure, which is skinned with balsa sheet. The construction manual has useful tips on how to build this exciting model.
This jet is available as a plan set. The following items will be included in the MIRAGE 2000 Plan Set:
• Plans (2 Full size CAD printed sheets)
• Construction Manual
The MIRAGE 2000 was designed to operate from your local club grass strips and requires little effort to get it off the ground. Landing approaches are simple due to its delta wing design.
NOTE: For those who purchased early versions of the plans, there was a discrepancy with the main spar. Please click on the link below to download the amendment to the spar and print out.
